Tom Bird
Tom has been fishing since the age of 13 on the rivers around his parents’ house in Lancashire. Before progressing to fishing reservoirs at the age of 16.
Tom gained a degree in aquaculture & fishery management in 2015 before starting to work Full Time at Draycote Trout Fishery, before progressing to managing Draycote in 2019.
In 2013 Tom won his first England cap representing England in the Loch Style International, since gaining another Loch Style Cap and also a 5 Nations Cap in 2017.
He is an all-round reservoir angler however his great love is dry fly fishing from a drifting boat.
Tom is a qualified fly fishing instructor & a valued member of the Draycote Fly Fishery Team, able to carry out any of the Tuition or Guiding across our sites.
During a days guiding with Tom you will have the opportunity to use the latest Sage & Vision rods perfectly matched to RIO fly lines.
